Writing Buddies
Writing Buddies is a group for writers in Southampton.
Formerly based at the Borders bookshop, it is currently
seeking a new home following the closure of the Borders
chain. Meetings are continuing. Please contact for up to date
information. The group meets every other Friday at 2pm, for
writing related chat over a nice cuppa.
The group was born out of a desire to talk over issues relating
to all aspects of writing with like-minded souls. Writing
Buddies does not read work out for criticism, as it is not a
Writers' Circle, nor does it offer editorial services. Instead, it
offers the chance for aspiring and professional writers to come
along and talk about anything writing related, such as the state
of book selling today, editors and how to approach them,
problems with plotting, market news and information, writing
courses and associations and anything else that concerns
writers.
Every now and again there will be guests joining us to sip
coffee and add their experience to the chat.
Everyone is welcome to come along and join in. It is free and
very informal.
